Biography
2009-10: Finished third in the 500-yard freestyle against UW-Eau Claire.. Recorded a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle against Gustavus with a time of 1:58.97.. Placed second in the 200-yard freestyle, fourth in the 100-yard freestyle and fifth in the 500-yard freestyle all against St. Cloud State.. Turned in second place finishes in both the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyles against Nebraska-Omaha.. Recorded a pair of first place finishes against Northern Iowa both in the 100-yard freestyle (54.73) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.19)… At the Midwest Conference Championships she placed sixth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.00; placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.62; and also placed ninth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.14.
2008-09: Placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle and second in the 500-yard freestyle against UW-Eau Claire... Against St. Cloud State she placed third in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle while finishing second in the 100-yard freestyle... Had first place finishes in both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyles against Gustavus Adolphus College... Also had second place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle against both Northern Iowa and St. Olaf College... Placed first in the 200-yard freestyle against UW-Stevens Point... Had a fourth place finish against Minnesota in the 1650-yard freestyle... At the Conference Championships she placed 12th in the 500-yard freestyle, 11th in the 1000-yard freestyle, and third in the 200-yard freestyle... Earned All-American honors for being part of 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished 15th, as well as the 400-yard freestlye relay team that also finished 15th at the National Championships.
2007-08: Top finisher in 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay…Received a first place finish in 200-yard freestyle (2:02.44) against Eau Claire…Placed 13th in 500-yard freestyle at NCC Championships.
High School: Three-time state participant in swimming…Made “Top-five” school record in 100, 200, and 500-yard freestyle…Helped 400-yard freestyle relay team qualify All-State in 2006-07.
Personal: Daughter of James and Kathryn Hayes…Born March 28, 1989…Accounting major at MSU.
