MANKATO, Minn. --  Minnesota State senior forward Ralfs Bergmanis has signed a contract with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Bergmanis played in 76 games as a Maverick, finishing 5-23—28 during his career. Prior to his time at Minnesota State, Bergmanis played two years at Vermont where he went 2-16—18.

This past season, Bergmanis posted a career-highs in assists (14), shots (59), points (16), and blocks (37).

“I appreciate everything that Minnesota State and the community of Mankato has done for me during my two years here,” said Bergmanis.  “This is a place where wins are mandatory and we have the best fans in the NCAA and I’ll never forget the way they support us.”

Minnesota State finished the 2025-26 season with a 22-11-7 record, winning the CCHA regular season and post season championships.
