INDIANAPOLIS --- The Minnesota State women golf team has been selected as on of the 18 teams to compete in the NCAA Central Region Championships. This marks the third consecutive season that the Mavericks have advanced to the NCAA Central Region Championships.
NCAA Central Region Championships: The NCAA Central Region Championships will be held at the at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo., from May 4-6.
The field consists of 18 teams, including Arkansas Tech, Rogers State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Washburn, Central Missouri, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Henderson State, Nebraska-Kearney, Harding, Minnesota State, Northwest Missouri, Missouri Western, Wayne State, Missouri Southern, Winona State, Concordia-St. Paul and Augustana.
All participants will compete through 54 holes on competition. The top five teams, along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team, will advance to the NCAA Championships.
Last season, the Mavericks finished in 11th place at the NCAA Central Region Championships.
