SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team advanced to the finals of the NSIC Tournament Saturday as the Mavericks bested Sioux Falls 4-0.

With the win, MSU improves to 11-3 on the season. With the loss, USF ends its season with a 9-11 record.

Minnesota State will now take on Augustana on Sunday in the finals of the NSIC Tournament. The dual is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Huether Tennis Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

"This was certainly a bog win for our program today, especially having our #1 singles player Julia Gurholt out," head coach Drew Hawthorne said. "I'm really proud of our team's toughness, flexibility and strength they showed today."

"It was an awesome doubles performance by our team today," Hawthorne said. "After losing the doubles point to Sioux Falls during the season, this doubles point win changed the whole match atmosphere."

"We had a lot of close singles matches when the match finished," Hawthorne said. "Elizabeth Dabzia took care of business to secure our first singles point, before Lucie clinched the dual for us. She dominated in her quick third set."
