MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State wrestling team dominated in head coach Jim Makovsky's final home dual Thursday evening as the Mavericks shutout Southwest Minnesota State 46-0.

MSU now owns a 15-4 dual record on the season, including an 8-2 NSIC record. With the loss, SMSU drops to 3-12, including a 2-8 conference record.

The Mavericks won all 10 matches in the dual, including two via fall, four via tech fall and two via major decisions.

Senior Caleb Meunier (157 lbs.) scored the first fall of the dual as he pinned Brad Beaver :53 into the match. Senior Kole Marko (165 lbs.) posted the second fall of the match as he pinned Wyatt Pollard at 1:52. This marks Meunier's 15th win via fall this season and Marko's third.

Junior Jaquan East (184 lbs.), junior Walker Bents (149 lbs.), sophomore Jacob Fitzpatrick (125 lbs.) and senior Drake Hayward (174 lbs.) each recorded a win via tech fall.

An 18-2 tech fall at 5:25 secured East's sixth tech fall of the season, before Fitzpatrick notched his fourth with a 19-4 tech fall at 3:17. Bents posted an 18-3 tech fall at 4:58 for his fifth of the season, before Hayward finished the dual with a 21-6 tech fall at 4:28 to claim his fourth of the season.

Junior Chase Beckett (133 lbs.) and sophomore Colton Hush (141 lbs.) each notched wins via major decisions. Becket defeated Chase Hanson 15-1, before Hush bested Bronson Richins 10-2.

Junior Grant Cook (197 lbs.) notched an 8-4 decision win over Xander Kenworthy, before sophomore Callen Smithpeter (285 lbs.) defeated Evan Thompson 6-1.

Minnesota State continues its season at the NCAA Super Region V Championships on Feb. 28 at the R/A Facility in Marshall, Minn.
