MARSHALL, Minn. --- The Minnesota State swimming and diving team bested both Southwest Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul in a double dual Saturday.
MSU defeated CSP 205-93 and SMSU 241-56. The Golden Bears bested the Mustangs by the score of 194.5-103.5. In total, the Mavericks took first place in 11 events.
"I was very happy with our team's effort today," head coach
Nathan Owens said. "Almost all the swimmers competed some new events this week or events they haven't done in a while. We had good racing with SMSU & CSP and a few races that came down to fractions of a second. The diving field was also deep and I felt like our women battled and held their own. We've had some excellent early seasons performances from the team, so we'll try to keep that rolling in the weeks to come."
