JAMESTOWN, N.D. --- The Minnesota State wrestling team picked up its fourth conference win of the season Friday evening as the Mavericks shutout Jamestown 49-0.

MSU now owns an 11-3 record on the season, including a 4-1 NSIC record. With the loss, UJ drops to 1-5 on the season, including a 0-5 conference record. This is Minnesota State's first shutout victory since Dec. 16, 2023 when the Mavericks shutout Arizona Christian 50-0.

In total, the Mavericks won all 10 matches, including two via fall, five via tech fall, two via decision and one via forfeit.

Sophomore Colton Hush (141 lbs.) scored his sixth win of the season via fall as he pinned Kellan Larson at the 4:21 mark of the match. Senior Caleb Meunier (157 lbs.) notched his 13th win via fall of the season as he bested Maddox Campbell 46 seconds into the match.

Sophomore Jacob Fitzpatrick (125 lbs.) scored an 18-3 tech fall over Isaac Ronquillo at 4:25, before junior Walker Bents (149 lbs.) notched an 18-2 tech fall at 3:00 over William Cook. Fitzpatrick now has three tech fall wins on the season, while Bents has five.

Senior Drake Hayward (174 lbs.) notched his third tech fall of the season as he defeated Colton Schaad 15-0 at 3:36, while sophomore Evan Farley (184 lbs.) recorded his first tech fall of the season as he bested Hayden Ramaeker 18-3 at 6:50. Senior Kole Marko (165 lbs.), in his first match of the season, turned in a 20-3 tech fall win at 1:53 over Landon Day as well.

MSU's two wins via decision came from junior Chase Beckett (133 lbs.) and junior Grant Cook (197 lbs.). Beckett defeated Elijah Nose 15-8, while Cook claimed an 8-4 win over Dane Hartmann.

Sophomore Callen Smithpeter (285 lbs.) earned the win via forfeit.

Minnesota State wraps up its North Dakota road trip on Sunday as it takes on #14 UMary. The dual is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
