BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State freshman quarterback
Maximus Sims has been named the NSIC Offensive Player for his efforts against Sioux Falls this past week.
Sims completed 24-of-32 passes for 310 yards and a touchdown against the Cougars. He also rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
Sims is the first Maverick to earn NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season. The last Maverick to do so was
Hayden Ekern back on Sept. 3, 2024.
Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Saturday as it takes on the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Sea Foam Stadium.
