MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State head football coach
Todd Hoffner has announced that 28 student-athletes will join the Maverick football team this fall.
All signings are contingent upon admission to MSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
This year's recruiting class features 28 student-athletes from five different states including Minnesota (14), Wisconsin (10), Illinois (2), Iowa (1) and Missouri (1).
"We are extremely excited about this year's recruiting class of 28 players from five different states," head coach
Todd Hoffner said. "We added 13 from Minnesota, 10 from Wisconsin, two from Illinois and one from Iowa and Missouri.
"The old adage "Luck and Linemen" stays true with this group as 12 of the 28 signees are players who will thrive in the trenches. We were able to add a lot of speed, with a ton of playmaking ability in the skilled positions. Our coaching staff put in the work in identifying the top talent in the midwest and securing commitments from these elite players."
"Minnesota State Football got better today with the addition of these excellent young men," Hoffner said.
Minnesota State finished its 2024 with a an 11-4 record as the Mavericks advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.
