WACO, Texas --- The Minnesota State football team has been ranked 18th in the most recent edition of the AFCA Poll.
MSU, which was ranked ninth in last week's poll, fell to 18th after suffering a 33-20 loss to Wayne State on the road last weekend.
The Mavericks are one of three NSIC teams ranked in the poll. Augustana improved to fifth after besting Southwest Minnesota State 57-29, while Minnesota Duluth climbed to 13th after defeating UMary 54-32. Northern State is receiving votes as well.
Minnesota State continues its season at home this Saturday as it takes on Southwest Minnesota State. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at Blakeslee Stadium.
