Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State finished their trip to North Dakota with a 31-14 win over Minot State, giving the Mavericks a 3-0 NSIC dual record, 5-1 overall record.

Jacob Fitzpatrick started the dual off strong at 125-lb., winning by fall at 1:38 in the first period, putting the Mavericks up 6-0 in the team score.

After a loss at 133-lb., freshman
Colton Hush, at 141-lb., won in overtime over Ethan Wonser, SV-1 11-4. Wonser tied the match with seconds left in the third period, following with Hush getting a quick takedown in overtime and immediately catching Wonser to score a 4pt nearfall as well.

Walker Bents, the redshirt-sophomore at 149-lb., also won by fall in the first period, pinning Evan Vieira at 1:09, bringing the team score to 15-5 MSU.

Caleb Meunier (157-lb.) and No. 14
Kole Marko (165-lb.) both won by decision to increase MSU's lead to 21-5.

At 174-lb., redshirt-junior No. 13
Drake Hayward swept Jared Shafer by a 15-0 tech fall at 2:26 in the first period.

Evan Farley had two takedowns in the first with a 4 pt nearfall, combined with takedowns in the second and third periods, to win 18-2 at 5:41.
