MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State Mavericks (16-1-6, 11-0-3 NSIC) travel to Central Missouri to face the Jennies (17-4-2, 9-2-1 NSIC) in the third round of the NCAA Playoffs this Sunday at 1 p.m.

Recap of Last Weekend:
The Mavericks hosted St. Cloud State and Missouri Western in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. On Friday, MSU edged out the Huskies 2-1 with goals from Addison Clarey and Maille Mathis. The Mavericks advanced to Sunday's second-round match, where a penalty goal by Mathis secured a 1-0 victory over Missouri Western.

Facing the Jennies:
The two teams met earlier this season in September, with the Jennies taking a narrow 1-0 victory over the Mavericks in Warrensburg.

Scouting Central Missouri:
The Jennies come off a strong performance, defeating Central Oklahoma 2-0 last weekend. They are led offensively by Ashleigh Martin, who has tallied 10 goals and six assists for 26 points this season. Defensively, goalkeeper Kristen Wright anchors the team with a .873 save percentage and a 0.63 goals-against average.

The stage is set for a competitive rematch as both teams aim to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals.
