Sioux Falls, S.D. - No. 9 Minnesota State (9-1-3, 8-0-1) sweeps Sioux Falls (2-10, 2-5) in South Dakota at the Bob Young Field for a final score of 4-0. 

MSU's offense was on fire during tonight's game against USF.  

MSU has allowed just four goals in 12 regular season games, ranking them the seventh-best defensive team in Division II  

In the 8th minute of the game freshman Alicia Hoffman scored her second goal of the season with an assist from sophomore Maddix Archer. It was her second assist of the season.  

Within five minutes later Archer scored her sixth goal of the season from a penalty kick and her seventh goal in the 13th minute.  

The 24th minute of the first half came around and graduate student Abigail Rieff found the back of the net for her first goal of the season and the fourth goal of the game.  

"We've had a big emphasis to starting faster and spent a lot of time this week focusing on our attack.  To see us respond tonight with a breakout attacking performance and execute the way we did was really exciting.  Proud of our ladies for their focus and energy tonight and how we continue to grow as a group!" said head coach Brian Bahl

Minnesota State is back in action as they travel to Wayne State and play at 1 PM on Sunday.
