MANKATO, Minn- No. 9 Minnesota State (8-1-3, 7-0-1) travels to Sioux Falls (2-9-0, 2-5-0) to play on Friday at 7 p.m. and continues to Wayne State (4-4-3, 3-2-2) to play a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. Both games are available to watch for free via stream on the NSIC Sports Network.
The Mavericks visited Southwest Minnesota State on Friday resulting in a 5-1 win, and hosted Winona State for a 1-0 win. MSU went 2-0 this weekend and now owns an 8-1-3 overall record.
MSU has allowed just four goals in 12 regular season games, ranking them the seventh-best defensive team in Division II (.333 goals against per game).

Maddix Archer leads the Mavericks and ranks second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in goals with five. Senior
Clare Longueville tops the conference in goals against average (.353) and save percentage (.903).
Facing USF:
Heading into the matchup with Sioux Falls, the Mavericks are 13-0 against the Cougars. The last time they met was last season at The Pitch. Minnesota State won 3-0.
Scouting the Cougars:
USF has a 2-9-0 overall record. This past weekend, Sioux Falls hosted Winona State and lost 1-0. On Sunday the Cougars traveled to Southwest Minnesota State where they won 3-1. Hanna Welch leads the team with two goals this season.
Facing Wayne State:
The Mavericks are 18-0 all-time against the Wildcats. The last time Wayne State and MSU met up the Mavericks won 1-0.
Scouting the Wildcats:
Wayne State holds a 4-4-3 overall record. This past weekend the Wildcats traveled to Northern State and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. The team appeared at Concordia – St. Paul on Sunday and lost 3-1. Alaina Sorensen leads the team with four goals and one assist this season.
