ROCHESTER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State softball team was eliminated from the NSIC Tournament Wednesday as it fell to St. Cloud State 4-0 and Bemidji State 9-4.
With the losses, MSU finishes its season with a 31-19 record.

The Mavericks began the day with a 4-0 loss to St. Cloud State.
Junior
McKayla Armbruster (21-9) took the loss as she gave up four runs on nine hits in 6.0 innings. Trinity Junker (16-7) earned the win as she allowed just one hit, while striking out six, in the complete game effort.
After three scoreless innings to start the game, SCSU managed to score the first run in the top of the fourth to go up 1-0. With one out, Jamie Odlum hit a single center and then came around to score on an RBI-double from Lydia Krueger. The Huskies managed to get runners on the corners with two outs but a ground out to shortstop ended the threat.
In the top of the sixth, SCSU loaded the bases with nobody out. Krueger was then got her second RBI of the game as she was hit by the pitch. MSU then managed to get out of trouble with a double play and a foul out as SCSU led 2-0.
The Huskies added two more runs in the top of the seventh to take a 4-0 lead. Sydney Trees homered to left field, before Odlum drove in a run with a single to center field.
MSU went down in order in the bottom of the seventh as the Huskies claimed the 4-0 win.

Sydney Nielsen recorded the lone hit for the Mavericks, while freshman
Gianna Lara and junior
Courtney Baxter each coaxed a walk.

Minnesota State finished the day with a 9-4 loss to Bemidji State.
Armbruster (21-10) took the loss as she gave up seven runs, six earned, in 4.1 innings. Kyla Damerow (13-12) picked up the win as she threw 5.1 innings of shutout baseball in relief.
The Mavericks jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Junior
Kylie Sullivan drove in the first run of the game with a single up the middle, before junior
Ellie Tallman notched a two-run home run to right field. Back-to-back doubles from sophomore
Cheyenne Behrends and Lara would then put MSU up 4-0.
The Mavericks would take their 4-0 lead into the fourth inning, but a two-run home run from BSU's Ashley Herold cut MSU's lead to two at 4-2.
The Beavers then rallied for five runs on five hits in the top of the fifth to take a 7-4 lead. Four Beavers would drive in runs in the top of the fifth, including Mariah Stevenson who put the Beavers in front 5-4 with a two-run double down the left field line.
BSU would add a run in the top of the sixth and top of the seventh innings to increase its lead to 9-4. MSU managed to get a pair of runners on base in the bottom of the seventh but BSU was able to get the final out to secure the 9-4 win.
Tallman finished with three hits and two RBI. Lara and Smithson each recorded two hits also.
