Sioux Falls, S.D. – Fourteenth-ranked Augustana picked up five victories via decision as it downed Minnesota State, 25-10, Saturday evening in NSIC wrestling action.
 
Minnesota State freshman Kole Marko opened the night with an 8-3 decision at 165.  Augustana answered with a pair of decisions and a major decision before senior 285-pounder Darrell Mason, closed the team gap with a decision win of 5-1, cutting the Augustana lead to 10-6.
 
Dropping back down to the lower weights, the Vikings received a forfeit at 125 pounds and then followed it up with back-to-back decision wins. 
 
The Mavericks picked up their loan bonus point victory 149-pounds as freshman Caleb Meunier earned a 14-2 major decision.  In a close final match, sophomore Drake Hayward lost in sudden victory to #10 Miles Fitzgerald at the 157-pound weight.
 
Minnesota State (5-5, 2-5 NSIC) travels to UW-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis. on Feb. 10. The dual will begin at 7:00 p.m.
