Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State Athletics has announced that an agreement has been reached for Maverick athletics events to appear locally with KEYC.

KEYC will be the local television broadcasting partner for Minnesota State men's hockey, with all home games appearing live on a new channel being added to the station's offerings.  The home opener against the University of Minnesota, slated for Oct. 8, will be the first game to be aired.

"We know how much Mankato and the surrounding area loves Maverick Hockey and we are thrilled to be able to provide the games to everyone in our viewing area," said KEYC General Manager Michele Gors. "This partnership with Minnesota State allows KEYC to serve our community in a new and exciting way."

Maverick men's hockey home games (and Central Collegiate Hockey Association road contests) are also available online via FloHockey.

"This new partnership with KEYC allows us to seamlessly transfer existing media rights and is the perfect complement to our current streaming platforms," said Kevin Buisman, Minnesota State Director of Athletics. "This extends our reach, puts the Maverick brand in more homes, and enhances the perception of our program.  It's a win all the way around and we look forward to further growing this relationship in the future."
