Fayette, Iowa. --- 17th-rated Minnesota State fell by a 36-8 margin to #15 Upper Iowa in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual held in Fayette, Iowa Friday night.

The loss, in which Minnesota State won two of ten matches, bring the Mavericks record to (2-5, 2-5 NSIC) and Upper Iowa improves to (5-5, 2-3 NSIC). 

Senior #8 Trevor Turriff is now 14-2 on the season after defeating Ryan Faught by a 11-1 major decision. Maverick junior heavyweight #10 Darrell Mason upped his record to 13-0 on the season with an 16-4 major decision over Jordan Baumler in the final match of the dual.

Next action for Minnesota State (2-5, 2-5 NSIC) is Feb. 13 with a road league dual at Southwest Minnesota State.
