Mankato, Minn. --- Minnesota State junior Amanda Montplaisir has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

A native of Buffalo, MInn., Monplaisir placed first at the Lucian Rosa Invitational hosted by UW-Parkside last weekend.  Her time of 22.20.7 for the 6K course topped the 88-individual field and helped lead Minnesota State to the team title with a total of six Mavericks placing in the top ten.

Next action for Minnesota State is Friday at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis.
