McKay Named HCA Co-National Goaltender of the Month

Mankato, Minn. --- Minnesota State's Dryden McKay has been named HCA Co-National Goaltender of the Month for January.

McKay appeared in six games during the month of January during which he posted a 6-0-0 won-loss record. He led the nation with four shutouts and tied for the most wins with six. His goals against average of 0.50 and save percentage of .971 ranked second in the country. The Downers Grove, Ill., native had a streak of not allowing a goal that started on Dec. 19 and ended on Jan. 16 - a span of five games and 218.17 minutes. The streak (the second such streak of at least 200 minutes of his career) ranks 19th on the NCAA all-time consecutive shutout minutes list.

The is the third time in his career that McKay has been named HCA National Goaltender of the Month.

Minnesota State, which stands 9-2-0 overall on the season and own a 6-0-0 WCHA mark, hosts Bowling Green Friday and Saturday in its next action.
