MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team won a total of 10 events Saturday afternoon in its double dual with Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Stevens Point.
Minnesota State improved to 6-1 in dual action this season as it bested the Gusties 200-100 and the Pointers 216-83. GAC bested UWSP 164-136.
The quartet of Amanda Jordan, Emily Goodman, Katie Streiff and Elise Mishmash won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.30.
The Mavericks also won both of the diving events. Sydney Hanson posted the top score of 246.6 in the 3-meter diving event, while Ayla Taylor won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 242.0.
Freshman Ella DeFever won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.47, while Anja Enervold finished in first place in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:07.91.
MSU also won both butterfly events as Kate Flynn won the 100 butterfly (59.42), while Nicole Beckman won the 200 butterfly (2:17.27). The Mavericks won both breaststroke events as well as Goodman turned in a time of 1:07.65 in the 100 breaststroke event and Darah Coleman posted a time of 2:32.62 in the 200 breaststroke event.
Goodman also won the 400 IM with a time of 4:49.41.
Minnesota State returns to action on Friday as it takes part in the two-day St. Thomas Invite in St. Paul, Minn.
