Fayette, Iowa  ---  12th-rated Minnesota State won six matches en route to a 19-13 victory over #20 Upper Iowa in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling action in Fayette, Iowa Thursday night.

Senior Trenton McManus, ranked tenth in the nation at 125, now stands 3-0 for the season with a 3-1 decision over Kaden Anderlik.

Junior Brock Luthens earned a 4-3 win over Donny Schmidt in the 133 match and he now stands 2-1 for 2020-21.

Minnesota State junior Kolbe O'Brien decisioned ninth-rated Tate Murray at 141 by a 9-5 margin in staying perfect (3-0) for the year.

Two-time All-American Kyle Rathman earned a 10-1 major decision victory over Chance Throndson at 149 in staying undefeated (3-0) for 2020-21.

Third-rated Trevor Turriff won in overtime by a 3-1 margin over 12th-rated Myron Crawford and now stands 3-0 for the season.

The win gives the Mavericks a 3-0 overall record on the year and a 3-0 NSIC mark. Next action for Minnesota State is Jan. 28 with a road league dual at #1 St. Cloud State.
