Minnesota State Owns 15-10-5 Overall Mark; Gervais Etches Name in School Record Book With Eighth and Ninth Career Shorthanded Goals; Blueger Moves into 11th Place on School Career Scoring List; Huggins Ranks Ninth on Minnesota State Goaltending Career Wins List

On Tap: 17th-rated Minnesota State (15-10-5 overall, 13-4-5 WCHA) continues Western Collegiate Hockey Association action this weekend with a pair of league road contests at Alabama Huntsville (6-17-3, 4-13-3 WCHA) at Von Braun Center (6,600) in Huntsville. The Mavericks and the Chargers square-off both Friday and Saturday at 7:07 p.m. CST.

Minnesota State Most Recently:  Minnesota State stands 15-10-5 overall, 13-4-5 WCHA after splitting a home league series vs. #19 Bowling Green. The Mavericks skated to a 5-1 victory Friday over the Falcons before succumbing by a 3-1 margin Saturday evening.

About Alabama Huntsville:  Alabama Huntsville owns a 6-17-3 record after splitting a WCHA series with Alaska Anchorage (2-1 win, 4-3 loss) and is tenth in the league standings with a 4-13-3 conference ledger. Sophomore forward Max McHugh (6-15--21) and senior forward Chad Brears (9-8--17) pace the Chargers offensively, while junior netminder Carmine Guerriero (2-12-2, .903 sv%, 3.10) has started 16 of 26 games. Head coach Mike Corbett (Denver '96) is in his third year behind the UAH bench and owns a 16-76-8 mark as a college head coach.
