Off the Hop: Minnesota State (2-0-0 overall, 2-0-0 WCHA) hosts St. Cloud State (0-0-0, 0-0-0 NCHC) in home nonconference action this weekend. The 14th-rated Mavericks and #7 SCSU play in Mankato at Verizon Wireless Center (4,832) Friday (7:07 p.m.) and Saturday (7:07 p.m.).
About the MSU-SCSU Series: Minnesota State leads the all-time series by a 69-53-10 margin. In a rivalry that dates back to the 1969-70 season, the 132 games between the two schools makes the Huskies Minnesota State's most often-played opponent.
