Sioux Falls, S.D. --- Minnesota State's women's cross country team opened the 2015 season by posting a sixth-place finish at the Augustana Twilight Invitational held in Sioux Falls, S.D., Friday evening.
The 20-team, three-mile event was held at Yankton Trails.
Sophomore
Erin Baker turned in a time of 17:49.60 as the top Maverick in placing 14th. Freshman
Lily Paul (18:28.80) placed 32nd, sophomore
Jaden Roddick (18:36.20) was 38th, sophomore
Megan Allen (18:37.7) finished in 41-place, junior
Maddi Sjelin (18:49.6) was 47th, freshman
Josie Braaten (18:50.60) placed 48th, freshman
Jessica Boespflug (18:51.00) placed 49th, senior
Samantha Soupir (18:56.10) posted a 55th-place finish, sophomore
Haley Kruger (19:00.40) was 58th, freshman
MacKenzie Dockendorf (19:06.90) placed 66th, freshman
Allyson Daines (19:12.20) placed 69th, sophomore
Mariah Betzler (19:15.70) placed 73rd, sophomore
Erica Hauf (19:34.20) was next at 89th, freshman
Sally O'Brien 20:19:47.00) placed 102nd, sophomore
Morgan Matthaei (20:48.90) placed 145th and sophomore
Becca Ohotto (21:38.30) finished 168th.
Augustana captured top honors in the team standings with 46 points and was followed by Dordt (89), Carleton (99), Doane (146), Morningside (169), Minnesota State (172), Sioux Falls (188), Mount Marty (262), Iowa Central (306) and Simpson rounded out the top ten.
