      Northfield, Minn. --- Minnesota State's women's cross country team finished seventh at the St. Olaf Invitational held in in Northfield, Minn., Saturday.

The 20-team, 6K event was held at St. Olaf College.

Sophomore Erin Baker was the top Maverick individual at the event, with her time of 23:37.7 placing her 23rd. Freshman Lily Paul (23:49.0) posted a 27th-placd finish, freshman Josie Braaten (24:30.4) placed 47th, senior Samantha Soupir (24:35.2) posted a 51st-place finish, freshman Jessica Boespflug (24:48.3) was 57th, freshman MacKenzie Dockendorf (24:49.2) placed 58th and freshman Megan Serratore (25:02.2) was 69th.

Minnesota Duluth totalled 50 points in claiming top honors in the team standings. The Mavericks had 205 points.

Next action for the Mavericks is next Saturday when they compete at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
