Box Score MANKATO, Minn. --- The second-rated Minnesota State soccer team defeated Bemidji State 4-1 on Friday at The Pitch to remain undefeated on the season.
With the win, the second-rated Mavericks move to 7-0-0 and 4-0-0 in the NSIC while the Beavers fall to 3-4-0 and 2-2-0 in league play.
Junior
Jessica Bowe started the scoring for the Mavericks in the 21st minute off a pass from sophomore
Kiana Nickel. That goal was Bowe's third goal of the season and Nickel's fourth assist.
The Mavericks held a 14-2 advantage on shots and led 1-0 at the half.

Dana Savino just outside the box and Savino booted it in for her fifth goal of the year. The Beavers would counter back with a goal of their own in the 51st minute to bring the score to 2-1.
Junior
Korey Kronforst scored in the 85th minute as Nickel dribbled by the BSU defense and goalkeeper, setting up Kronforst for the easy goal. In the 88th minute, Kronforst scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season set up by senior
Sydney Temple to give MSU the 4-1 victory.
Senior
Molly McGough made three saves on the afternoon and now owns a 6-0-0 record.
The Mavericks held the advantage in shots (33-5), shots on goal (16-4), and corner kicks (6-2)
The Mavericks will return to action on Sunday as they host Minnesota Crookston at The Pitch. The opening kick is set for 1 p.m.
