MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State soccer team put up six goals for the second straight game defeating St. Olaf 6-0 at The Pitch on Sunday.
The game was played with three 30 minute periods.
Junior
Korey Kronforst scored two goals in the first 30 minutes of action, the first coming off a pass from freshman
Jenny Hoerter with 8:12 remaining in the period. The second goal came less than two minutes later with
Emily Erickson picking up the assist.
Hoerter added a goal to her stat sheet in the second period with 5:28 remaining giving the Mavericks a 3-0 advantage heading into the final period.
In that final stanza, MSU would tally three goals all scored by freshmen.
Abby Nordeen,
Laura Schwickerath, and
Marissa Berutti each scored solidifying the Maverick win.
Minnesota State will continue action tomorrow as it hosts Hamline University at The Pitch with the game time slated for 5:30 p.m.
