Dominic Zombo wristed a shot that went past Williams at 5:21 for what proved to be the game-winning tally.
Now 23-12-2 overall, MSU outshot Nebraska Omaha 35-27 on the night. MSU was zero-for-two on the power play, while Nebraska Omaha were zero-for-two in power play chances. The game was played in front of 3,346 fans at Verizon Wireless Center in downtown Mankato.
With the series now knotted at 1-1, the two teams wclose out the best of three game series Sunday night with a 7:07 p.m. face-off scheduled.
