The Golden Bears got on the scoreboard first in the 10th minute when senior Amanda Olsen floated a perfect corner kick into the upper-right corner of the net.
MSU responded 36 seconds later when senior forward
Nicole Dooher blasted her first goal of the season into the right side of the net. Senior midfielder
Cassie Weik tallied an assist on the play.
Temple gave the Mavericks the lead in the 33rd minute when she scored her first collegiate goal off passes from sophomore forward
Jessica Bowe and senior midfielder
Brianne West.
Kronforst scored her second goal of the season in the 56th minute after a fantastic free kick by senior defense
Lauren Somers and touch pass from Dooher. She added a second goal in the 72nd minute putting back a rebound from junior midfielder
Emily Moris.
Minnesota State outshot Concordia 35-5. The 35 shots fired by the Mavericks is the third-most all-time in a single game.
The Mavericks (2-1-0, 1-0-0 NSIC) take on the #2 Grand Valley State Lakers (2-0-0) Sunday at 12 p.m. at the Pitch at Gage Towers. Both teams played to a 1-1 tie in Mankato last season.
