Mankato, Minn. --- Men’s hockey coach Troy Jutting has announced that six student-athletes have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to attend Minnesota State University.
 
Committing to MSU during the early signing period are forwards Dan Carlson  (Corcoran, Minn./Sioux Falls (USHL)),  Bryce Gervais (Battleford, Sask./Salmon Arm (BCHL)), Brett Knowles (Vanderhoof, B.C./Salmon Arm, (BCHL)) and Dylan Margonari (Greensburg, Pa./Youngstown (USHL)), along with defenseman Jon Jutzi (Tavistock, Ont./Powell River (BCHL)) and goaltender Stephon Williams (Fairbanks, Alaska/Sioux Falls (USHL)).

Dan Carlson, Forward, 6-1, 201, Corcoran, Minn./Sioux Falls (USHL)
Spent two seasons (2009-10 and 2010-11) with the U.S. National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich. ...Earned a gold medal as a member of Team USA at the U17 Challenge in Timmons, Ont., in 2010...Earned gold medal at U18 World Championships in 2011...Has 1-2--3 in seven games with Sioux Falls of the United States Hockey League tin 2011-12...Spent 2008-09 with Maple Grove (Minn.) High School where he was an all-conference honorable mention performer.

Bryce Gervais, Forward, 5-10, 175, Battleford, Sask./Salmon Arm (BCHL)
Racked up 29-22--51 in 58 games with Salmon Arm in 2010-11 and was named the BCHL Interior Conference Rookie of the Year...Named to 2010-11 BCHL All-Rookie Team...Member of BCHL Select team that played in Russia in the summer of 2011...Had 36-34--70 in 43 games with Prince Albert midget AAA in 2009-10.

Jon Jutzi, Defense, 6-2, 190, Tavistock, Ont./Powell River (BCHL)
Is in his second season with Powell River (BCHL) where he is serving as team captain in 2011-12...Tallied 6-18--24 in 56 games with the River Kings in 2010-11 and has 4-9--13 in 17 GP in 2011-12...Spent three seasons with Elmira of the GOJHL prior to joining Powell River.

Brett Knowles, F, 5-11, 181, Vanderhoof, B.C./Salmon Arm (BCHL)
Is in his fourth season with Salmon Arm (BCHL) where his is serving as team captain in 2011-12...Had 30-28--58 in 57 games with the Silver Backs in 2010-11... Led the BCHL in play-off scoring in the 2011 with 9-14--23 in 15 games...Played on BCHL Select team in 2011 that traveled to Russia to play Russian Junior Teams.  Played midget hockey for the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

Dylan Margonari, F, 6-1, 190, Greensburg, Pa./Youngstown (USHL)
Is in his third season with Youngstown (USHL) where he is serving as team captain in 2011-12...Has 5-0--5 in nine games and was named USHL Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 24-30 after scoring four times in two games.  Had a hat trick and was +4 in 5-2 win at Omaha Oct. 29...Product of Pittsburgh Hornets midget AAA program.

Stephon Williams, G, 6-2, 190, Fairbanks, Alaska/Sioux Falls (USHL)
Two year veteran with Sioux Falls of USHL where he went 20-7-6 with a 2.59 goals against average and .909 saves percentage in 2010-11...Currently a B list prospect by NHL Central Scouting, he was named USHL Goaltender of the week for Oct. 17-13.
