Minnesota State Brianne West scored her third goal of the season in the 61
st minute to put the Mavericks up two goals. Junior forward
Nicole Dooher tallied the assist.
MSU scored on its second penalty kick of the season when Meinhardt put the ball in the lower right corner of the goal. Fellow sophomore
Courtney Vallarelli scored her third goal of the season with Dooher marking her second assist of the game on the final goal of the game.
The Mavericks continue action on Tuesday in Mankato, Minn., when finish their nonconference schedule against the University of Sioux Falls at the Pitch at Gage Towers at 3 p.m.
