St. Peter, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team earned a 149.5-91.5 victory over Gustavus Adolphus Friday night in St. Peter.

The Mavericks earned 41 top-five finishes during the victory including seven first-place finishes. 

Both of MSU’s relay teams earned wins as the 200-yard medley relay touched in 1:50.37.  That squad was made up of senior Chelsea Chapman, senior Heather Schulz, freshman Ashley Ahn and junior Megan Pickert. 

The 400-yard freestyle relay also finished first with a time of 3:38.65.  That squad was made up of senior Kristin Hayes, freshman Nora Stauber, sophomore Kelsea Smith and junior Emily Timm. 

Also earning individual victories for MSU was: Hayes (200-yard freestyle, 1:57.28), Timm (200-yard IM, 2:14.25), sophomore Beth Keskey (one-meter dive, 228.95), Ahn (100-yard fly, :59.71), senior Janel Duffy (three-meter dive, 231.35) and Schulz (100-yard breast, 1:11.00). 

Minnesota State returns to action next weekend as they swim in the Minnesota Challenge.
