Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team tied UNO-Omaha Saturday afternoon 147-147 in the Highland Pool on the campus of Minnesota State University.
Leading the Mavericks was senior Janel Duffy winning the 1M and 3M diving event with a score of 256.3 and 270.75 respectively. Both of her scores established new school and pool records.
Junior Emily Timm won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.48 and the 100-yard fly with a time of 59.63. Timm also finished third in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:17.55. Freshman Ashley Ahn won the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:10.58.

Chapman, McHugh, Timm and Pickert turned in a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley with a combined time of 1:51.39, while Edwards, Bergman, Ahn and Stauber placed fourth in the same event with a time of 1:53.97. The team of Pickert, Stauber, Edwards and Chapman finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.38 and the team of Smith, Hayes, Bergman and Ahn finished third in the same event with a time of 1:43.56.
The Maverick swimmers are off until Dec. 3 and 4 when they travel to the UW-River Falls Falcon Invite. The two-day long event will be held at the University of Minnesota. The divers return to the boards on Dec. 4, at the St. Cloud State Diving Invitational.
