Minneapolis, Minn. --- The University of Minnesota hosted the Roy Griak Invitational located at the Les Bolstad Golf Course. There were 22 teams that participated in the event. The Minnesota State women finished eighth out of the 22 teams. Sophomore Ali Paul finished third with a time of 22:10.

Senior Meagan McConnell finished 40th with a time of 24:16, while senior Amanda Dettman recorded a time of 24:44 (#61). Freshman Katherine Anundson finished with a time of 24:53 (#68). Closing out the top five MSU runners was junior Jenny Hoese finishing in 91st place with a time of 25:16. Also running for the Mavericks was senior Lindsay Broughten (25:58) and junior Jen Lang (26:56).

Minnesota State returns to action October 3, 2009 in Brookings, S.D., for the South Dakota State Invitational.
