Box Score Duluth, Minn.-- The #5 ranked Minnesota State Mavericks lose a close battle to Minnesota-Duluth in Duluth, Minn. Sunday afternoon.

The Mavericks fought hard posting seven shots in the first period and nine in the second period, for a total of 16 shots. The Mavericks had five shots on goal. The Bulldogs totaled 18 shots in the match and nine shots on goal.

Freshman forward Brittany Henry (Stillwater, Minn.) posted two shots on goal in the match. Junior forward Laura Leber (Council Bluffs, Iowa) had one shot on goal along with junior forward Jessie Audas (Omaha, Neb.) and senior midfielder Gina Paletta (Omaha, Neb.).

The Bulldogs Clare Dahmen scored the lone goal in the second period at 65:28.

Senior goalkeeper Sheila Reynolds (St. Charles, Ill.) tallied three saves in the first period and five in the second. Reynolds is now 5-1-0 on the season and 18-9-3 in her career.

The Mavericks now 5-1-0, travel to St. Paul Minn., to take on Concordia University Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m.
