Bowyer Field

Bowyer Field - The long-time home of the Minnesota State Baseball program, the MSU Baseball Complex was named Bowyer Field in the spring of 2017.

Located on the south end of campus adjacent to Blakeslee Stadium, the complex boasts an immaculate natural grass surface and features several recent upgrades including a new irrigation system, new backstop and screen and prior to the start of the 2018 season, new home and away dugouts.

The facility is named for former coach Dean Bowyer, who guided the Mavericks to 22 league championships, 21 NCAA postseason appearances and three trips to the NCAA Division II College World Series in a career with Minnesota State that spanned 1976-77 to 2007-08. Inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2006, Bowyer won at least 30 games in 22 out of 32 years with the Mavericks en route to a won-loss record of 980-477-7.
