Anna Fiegert has been named captain for the 2016-17 season.

Savannah Quandt and junior
Anna Keys have been named alternate captains.
Fiegert, a three-time letterwinner from Landshut, Germany, has recorded four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 97 career games. She tallied four goals, six assists and 10 points in 2015-16 -- all career-highs. It is the second consecutive year that Fiegert has been named captain.
Keys, a two-time letterwinner from Cottage Grove, Minn., has garnered five goals and 14 assists for 19 points in 71 games as a Maverick. She recorded 13 points in 2015-16 -- the seventh-highest single-season point total by a defenseman in program history.
Quandt, a three-time letterwinner from Mankato, Minn., has tallied six goals and one assist for seven points in 108 career games. Last season, she recorded career-highs in goals (3), assists (1), points (4) and shots (34).
Minnesota State, which posted a 3-29-4, 0-25-3 WCHA record in 2015-16, starts the season against RIT at 7:07 p.m., on Sept. 30 at the Verizon Wireless Center.Â
