New Orleans, La. — Four Minnesota State University track and field athletes where named to the 2009 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division II Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
Senior Ben Mauch (Mankato, Minn.) highlighted the team and was joined by junior James Krajsa (Moorhead, Minn.), and sophomores Dana Schmidt (Grudy Center, Iowa) and Jeremy Soupir (Redwood Falls, Minn.)
The Mavericks finished 13th at the 2009 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships and did not place in the outdoor championships.
