Ryan Dutton (MSU 1997-2001, Football & Baseball) (student-athlete category)  --- Two-sport athlete during course of career with the Mavericks, starring in football and baseball for Minnesota State...Named All-North Central Conference and NCC Baseball Most Valuable Player in 2001... Went 8-2 with 2.76 earned run average on the mound while hitting .432 with 31 runs batted in and six home runs as a senior....Named NCC Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .733 (11-for-15) in a five-game stretch...Was named 2001 team MVP after helping lead Mavericks to NCC regular season and league tournament titles....2001 All-Region First Team selection...All-North Central Conference punter in 2000...Led the NCC in punting with 43.0 average...Also played quarterback and led the Mavericks in passing yards (1,304) and total offense (1,297) as a senior...Signed as a free agent punter and went to camp with Cleveland (2004), played with Amsterdam (NFL Europe) in 2005, signed as free agent with Seattle in 2005 and with Green Bay in 2006.
