An outstanding athlete in his own right, Waldorf coached the Mavericks to nine conference tennis titles...Before coming to MSU, coached all sports at McKendree College, Lebanon, Ill. 1933-36....Served as football and tennis coach at Fort Hayes Kansas State College 1936-42 where his team took home the football conference championship in 1936...Coached tennis from 1946-47 at Denison University, Granville, OH.
