Minnesota State's first women's basketball coach and served at Maverick helm from 1966-85...Career win-loss mark of 246-158 (.609) in 19 seasons (she's MSU's all-time winningest women's basketball coach)...Her teams produced four members of the now defunct Women's Professional League...MSU All-American basketball players Elsie Ohm (AIAW in 1980) and Lisa Walters (NCAA in 1986 and 1987) were both Willerscheidt recruits...Coached teams to Minnesota State championships 1972, 1973 and 1975...Has also coached MSU track, cross country, and volleyball teams...Served as the president of the Minnesota Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (MAIAW), and chairperson for the Southwestern Board of Officials for the National Association of Girl's and Women's Sports...A 1961 St. Catherine's graduate and holds Master's from MSU (1966)...Served as an assistant professor of Physical Education at MSU.
