Member of the MSU baseball team from 1965-68...Compiled a .301 career batting average...Northern Intercollegiate All-Conference second baseman in 1966 when he hit .357...Helped MSU place second and third, respectively, in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional in 1965 and ’68...At the time of induction held the MSU record for most doubles (19) and most runs batted in (57) in a career...Helped MSU to a 72-41 record in four years...Graduated MSU in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting...Played eight years of Major League Baseball with the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals...In the majors, had a .253 career batting average and was a member of the 1980 Royals World Series team.
