Competed in football, basketball, and baseball from 1954-58...As a junior he earned All-Conference honors in football and basketball...Bodelson, a Red Wing, Minn, native, returned to MSU in 1969 after earning both his Master's and Doctorate degrees...Served as a guidance counselor until 1973 when he became involved with MSU Athletics as the assistant men's basketball coach under Hall of Famer Lloyd "Butch" Raymond for eight years...During his stint with the basketball team, the Mavericks compiled a 121-94 (.563) record before taking the position as Coordinator of Intercollegiate Athletics in 1976.
