Kevin Buisman has announced that
Tony Boehler has been named head women's tennis coach.
Boehler, who has most-recently served as an assistant coach with the men's and women's tennis programs at Bethany Lutheran, replaces Sophia Espana, who is pursuing a doctoral degree at West Virginia University.
A native of Minneapolis, Boehler was a four-year member of the men's tennis program at Gustavus Adolphus from 1989-93. He gained experience as an instructor and assistant supervisor with the Tennis and Life Camps in St. Peter for six years and served as a Tennis Coordinator at Swanson Tennis Center for two years where he taught lessons and directed USTA tournaments. Boehler has also served as the boy's varsity head coach at Le Sueur-Henderson and Mankato West High Schools. Currently, Boehler works as the assistant registrar at Minnesota State.
