Minnesota State Soccer Ranked No. 3 in NCAA DII Regional Rankings

Indianapolis, Ind. --- Minnesota State soccer is ranked third in the first NCAA DII Women's Soccer Central Region Rankings, as announced on Wednesday.
 
The Mavericks earned the third position in the regional rankings by playing to a 12-1-1 record so far this season. Minnesota State has recorded 13 shutouts, including shutouts in each of its last 11 matches – tying for the seventh-longest shutout streak in NCAA DII women's soccer history.
 
At the top of the regional rankings is Central Missouri (MIAA) followed by Bemidji State (NSIC) in second. Behind Minnesota State (NSIC), Augustana (NSIC) is fourth, Oklahoma Baptist (GAC) is fifth, Missouri Western (MIAA) is sixth, Northeastern State (MIAA) is seventh and Fort Hays State (MIAA) is eighth.
 
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 35-team NCAA Central Region. The top-six teams in the region will advance to the NCAA regional tournament on Nov. 10 and 12, and Nov. 17 and 19. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the MIAA, GAC and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining three spots awarded on an at-large basis. 

The NCAA Women's Soccer selection show will be streamed online on Monday, Nov. 6 at 5:00 p.m. CST on NCAA.com.

The 2017 NCAA DII Soccer Semifinals and Championship will take place at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
