Mankato, Minn. --- With the outdoor season beginning to wrap up, the Minnesota State men's track and field team switches gears towards the conference championships.
Freshman
Jack Curtis currently sits in first place after day one action with 3568 total points at the NSIC Multi Championships right here in Mankato.
Some of his notable performances include the fastest time in the 100-meter dash in 11:04. He placed third in the high jump with a leap of 6'04.25'' and would place fourth in the 400-meter dash in 51.31.
Currently in third place for the Mavericks is freshman
Anyah Nutter with 3466 total points. Some of his performances include the second top time in the 100-meter dash of 11.23. He would place second in the high jump with a mark of 6'05.50''and place eighth in the 400-meter dash in 51.69.
The third freshman competing for MSU today was
Joe Williams currently sitting in 10
th with 3163 total points. He had the second fastest 400-meter dash time of 50.95. He also had the fourth fastest time in the 100-meter dash of 11.48.
The lone female competing for the Mavericks is
Jessika Dieringer who of course is also a freshman. She currently is in 10
th place with 2362 total points. Some of her notable performances from day one include: the tenth best shot put with a throw of 28'11.75''. She would also place seventh in the 200-meter dash in 26.85.
