Kevin Buisman, Minnesota State Director of Athletics, has withdrawn his candidacy for the vacant AD position at the University of Northern Iowa.
Â
"After careful thought and extensive personal deliberation, I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration in the search process for the Director of Athletics position at the University of Northern Iowa. As an alumnae, this was a professional development opportunity that held a great deal of intrigue and one I fully explored as a finalist through a comprehensive on-campus interview process.  After further reflecting on both that experience and my current circumstances I have reached the conclusion that this was not quite the right fit for me and my family at this particular time."
Â
"I am grateful for the opportunity to provide continuing leadership for the Maverick athletic program and feel extremely fortunate to serve an outstanding institution like Minnesota State University and a wonderfully supportive community in the Greater Mankato area.  Our program has achieved excellence, not only competitively, but in the classroom and through civic engagement, and I look forward to building on that success and to obtaining future program goals in the years ahead."
Buisman, a native of Marion, Iowa, is in his 14th year at the Maverick Athletics helm. His bio is located
