4x200 Relay Team Sets School Record

Des Moines, Iowa --- The Minnesota State women's track and field team met the trek south to compete in the annual Drake Relays.

The Mavericks made their presence known through a pair of relay performances. Karlona Gregory (Minneapolis, Minn.), Mackenzie Beals (Marshalltown, Iowa), Sid'Reshia Floyd (New Hope, Minn.) and Brieanna Puckett (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) set a new school-record in the 4x200 relay with their final time of 1:41.68. The previous record was set in 1988 at 1:44.02.

The same four student-athletes would qualify for the final round of the 4x100 relay as well.

The Mavericks will return to the track tomorrow morning in Des Moines, as well as competing in the Drake Alternate, held in St. Peter, Minn.
