The eighth-ranked Mavericks (24-12-3) downed Nebraska Omaha in the first round of the WCHA play-offs last weekend, claiming the best-of-three series 2-1 to advance to this year's WCHA Final Five.  MSU is making its third appearance at the Final Five and first since 2002-03.
